Steven Scimone #14

Junior PG - Marlboro HS Basketball 2022-23

Season Highlight Video

Steven is true court-general. He was only a junior this season but played like he was a veteran senior. I watched his role grow throughout the season for Marlboro all year. He has an extremely well-rounded game. He can shoot the three, drive to the basket, kick the ball out to teammates for open shots and he plays solid defense. He will do whatever he needs to do to help his team win. In my opinion, Steven is very underrated. He is going to have a great senior year for Marlboro next year and I wouldn't be surprised if he puts up stats that surprise a lot of people in doing so.

Jaycen Santucci #11

Sophomore SG/SF - Central Regional HS Basketball 2022-23 Season Highlight Video

Jaycen is a player to look out for these next 2 years as he had a dominant season as only a sophomore. Without being told so, you would never guess that he is a sophomore by his stature and the confidence he displays on the court. He showed great athleticism all season as he out-jumped opponents on offense when driving to the basket and by stopping fast breaks on defense. Opposing coaches in Central Regional's division cannot be happy that he will be around for another two years - though Jaycen won award after award this past season, I am sure that it is just the beginning of what's to come!

DJ Orloff #24

Junior Forward - Howell HS Basketball 2022-23

Season Highlight Video

DJ was one of the top juniors in the Shore Conference this past season. The Howell Basketball Team relied on him heavily this past year as he was a player that consistently put up good numbers. He seems to always be at the right place at the right time as he's able to get layup after layup off the glass and in transition. DJ has a very smooth game and I watched his confidence grow seemingly week-by-week this season. It was obvious that as DJ's confidence grew, his team became noticeably better. The Howell Basketball Team was a young group - I expect DJ's senior season to be a big one as he will likely be leaned on down the stretch of many games next year.

Alex Frank #21

Senior Forward - Marlboro HS Basketball 2022-23

Season Highlight Video

Alex was one of the best scorers in the Shore Conference this past season. He took over on offense when his team needed him time and time again. He has a killer floater and knows how to move without the ball to help his teammates. I watched teams send double teams his way to try and stop him yet he always seemed to find a way to get to the basket. Alex is a great athlete - by the time his senior year is over he will have started for varsity football, varsity basketball and varsity baseball. The craziest part is that he is committed to play college baseball - yet he's already won awards for football and basketball this year. Good luck to Alex at Hobart College!

Sohan Eleti #23

Senior Guard - Marlboro HS Basketball 2022-23

Season Highlight Video

Sohan was a fun player that I had the pleasure of following this past season! He loves to bring the energy to the opposing team and he has that killer mentality in big crowds. He did a little bit of everything this past season for a very underrated Marlboro team. He can shoot from a deep, pull-up from mid-range and has a lethal finish in traffic. I watched him cause havoc for defenders in man-to-man as he seemed to have defenders flying around with his quickness and ball-handling. Sohan and the rest of the Marlboro Basketball Team got better and better throughout the season and he was a big part in the teams success. I am sure the Marlboro Basketball Program will miss Sohan's presence next season.

Shane Ryan #10

Senior Guard - Point Pleasant Boro HS Basketball 2022-23

Season Highlight Video

Shane is arguably the most underrated player in all of the Shore Conference. He has an extremely versatile game - he can shoot from deep, he knows when to pullup from midrange, he attacks the basket to draw contact, and knows when to find his teammates. His athletic abilities helped him find space in all situations. His jumping ability is ridiculous and surprised many defenders throughout the season. Shane is a walking highlight tape! The Point Pleasant Boro Basketball Team was a tight-knit unit that played in a brutal division. Shane's loss due to graduation will definitely be felt by the Point Boro Basketball Program. He is going to be a great addition to a college program somewhere - college coaches need to wake up and pay attention. Schools that are not paying attention to Shane now are going to regret it when they play against him in the future!

Dylan Csik #24

Senior Guard - Middletown South HS Basketball 2022-23

Season Highlight Video

Dylan is one of the shiftiest guards in the Shore Conference. I watched teams put their best defender on him time and time again. No matter his opponent, he always made the best play for his team. He had highlight reel worthy passes in nearly every quarter this season and was a major reason why Middletown South was able to capture a division championship. He and the rest of the Middletown South Basketball Team were a pleasure to watch. They started off the season losing 4 games but quickly turned that around and made a lot of noise. Dylan's leadership was evident at every game I attended. Best of luck to Dylan as he enters a new chapter at Mount Saint Mary College!

Ryan Leskauskas #12

Senior Forward - Chatham HS Basketball 2022-23

Season Highlight Video

Ryan had an amazing senior season and career for Chatham. His list of awards and accomplishments over his high school career seem endless. He has a lethal shot and knows when to drive to the basket to help distribute to his teammates - he is an all-around threat. I watched him play the hero in the Morris County Semifinals as every time his team was put in a tough spot, he would come up with a huge play to keep his team in it. His team came short of winning that game but everybody in the gym knew who the best player on the floor was when the game was over. It was awesome to follow Ryan and the Chatham basketball team this past season. Ryan is going to have a great college career as well - best of luck to Ryan at Dickinson College!
